PetVitae Terms and Conditions

Welcome to PetVitae, a subscription service designed for pet owners in Malaysia! We’re here to make pet care easier with automated deliveries of pet food and supplies. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully—they help keep you and your pets safe while protecting our service. Let’s get started!

1. Acceptance of Terms

By signing up for PetVitae, you agree to follow these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines we may provide. We may update these terms from time to time, and we’ll notify you via email or on our platform. Continued use of PetVitae after changes means you accept the updated terms.

2. Subscription and Payment

2.1 Subscription Plans

PetVitae offers a subscription service that includes access to our platform, pet management tools, and automated delivery scheduling. A separate fee applies for pet food and supplies, based on your chosen products and frequency.

2.2 Payment Authorization

You explicitly agree to allow PetVitae to charge your credit/debit card (via Stripe) for subscription fees (covering service and platform maintenance costs) and pet food/supply costs on a recurring basis. Subscription fees are non-refundable and cover a one-year term. Cancellation during this period will not result in a refund or pro-rated credit. Pet food/supply payments are final upon checkout. No refunds will be issued, but we’ll work with suppliers to replace defective products if reported (see Section 6).

2.3 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription anytime via the PetVitae dashboard. However, subscription fees paid are non-refundable. To change pet food/supply orders, please do so before the payment cycle. Changes after payment will take effect in the next cycle.

2.4 Secure Payments

We use Stripe for safe and secure payment processing. Your card details (last 4 digits only) and Stripe Customer ID are protected with Supabase’s security features.

3. Data Collection and Privacy

3.1 What We Collect

We collect your name, email, phone number, address, country, Stripe Customer ID, and card last 4 digits. For your pets, we gather name, birthday, last/next vaccine dates, last/next grooming dates, last/next checkup dates, weight, and breed.

3.2 How We Use Your Data

Your data helps us manage your account, schedule deliveries, and send reminders (e.g., vaccine dates via Twilio). By subscribing, you opt-in to receive promotional emails from PetVitae and our partners. These offers include exclusive discounts for subscribers!

3.3 Data Sharing

We share data with Stripe (for payments), SendGrid (for emails), and Twilio (for notifications) to provide our services. Your information won’t be shared with any third party outside PetVitae or its listed partners.

3.4 Your Rights

Under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), you can access or correct your data by contacting us at [email protected]. We keep your data secure using Supabase’s security features and delete inactive records after 24 months.

4. Delivery and Logistics

4.1 Delivery Timeline

Deliveries typically take 5-10 business days, handled by trusted third-party logistics providers (e.g., Pos Malaysia, J&T Express).

4.2 Possible Delays

Delays may occur due to weather or supplier issues. We recommend setting your delivery frequency to ensure your pet has food for at least one week after each delivery.

5. Liability and Disclaimers

5.1 Our Role

PetVitae acts as an intermediary, connecting you with pet food brands and logistics providers. You choose your pet’s food, so we’re not liable for allergic reactions.

5.2 Product Issues

For defective products or delivery failures (caused by suppliers or logistics), we’ll mediate to help you find a solution. The final resolution is between you and the third party, and we’re not responsible for the outcome.

5.3 Risk Management

We strive to minimize risks like food quality issues or subscription errors, but we can’t guarantee perfection. Contact us at [email protected] if issues arise.

5.4 Dispute Resolution

Disputes related to products or deliveries will be mediated by PetVitae. If unresolved, you may seek assistance from the Malaysia Consumer Tribunal.

6. Refunds and Replacements

Subscription fees are non-refundable for the one-year term, even if canceled early. Pet food/supply payments are final. For defective products, we’ll coordinate with suppliers for replacements, ensuring your set frequency remains valid. Changes post-payment aren’t allowed until the next cycle.

7. Legal Compliance

PetVitae operates in compliance with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and Consumer Protection Act 1999.
